Talking to APP, PUTA President Jamil Chitrali said that the current strike and boycott of classes is just to ensure rule of law and justice, adding that on September 5, 2016 Dr Khalid Khan Additional secretary Higher education department (on deputation) through a letter snatched the authority of governor given in KP universities Act amended 2016 taking it in his own hands.
He said PUTA wants to restore that Chancellors' authority as envisioned in University Act 2016 and get this officer punished.
He deplored that despite several attempts to communicate the strike of teachers to the provincial government, nobody bother to pay attention to it.
