PMLN President Shahbaz Sharif speaks against Maryam Nawaz point of view over PDM
Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif has said that no single party is authorized to expel or retain anyone from the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) alliance.
While giving an exclusive interview to a private news channel, the opposition leader in National Assembly said that alliances among political parties are formed and broken and there is nothing new with that.“There are 10 parties in PDM and all decisions are taken through consultation. Maryam Nawaz has the right to do politics. The 30-year relationship with Chaudhry Nisar ended at a wrong time.
There was no consultation on his oath,” he said adding that he is ready to hold former premier Nawaz Sharif’s feet on national interest. “The anti-corruption watchdog summoned me in a Saaf Paani case and then arrested me in Ashiana case. The NAB admitted that there was no evidence of illicit income against me, having completed projects worth Rs 3,300 billion during its tenure,” he said adding that he submits taxes regularly. The former chief minister said that he was given bail on merit by court.
“The Lahore High Court (LHC) wrote in its verdict that the cases against him were unwarranted and no proofs of corruption, kickbacks, money laundering and TTs were presented,” he said. Shehbaz Sharif said that he gets scared when they [government] talks about the Riyasat-e-Madina, adding that the rulers should be careful while referring to the state of Madina.
