CPEC: Pakistan Railways Train's speed to be enhanced to 180 KPH

MULTAN: (APP) As a part of China Pakistan Economic Project (CPEC), the Pakistan Railways (PR) has accelerated the pace of land analysis and to mark locations for building overhead bridges, underpasses, doubling of tracks and installing fences around the railways tracks.

Sources privy to development revealed here Tuesday that Chinese engineers had continued land analysis at place of every 500 meters lying from Multan-Karachi track. The experts are busy in completing the requisite analysis before initiating any development around the tracks by 2020.

The upgraded railway tracks from Multan to Lahore and Karachi will help reduce travel time remarkably and the speed of trains will be increased from 120 km/hour to 180 km/hour, sources added.
