Imran promises Senate ticket in exchange for NA seat taken from former MPA

ISLAMABAD: After awarding the ticket for NA-22 Mardan to Ali Muhammad Khan, PTI Chairperson Imran Khan has had to backtrack on a promise to another party leader.
Imran had earlier promised former provincial minister Iftikhar Mohmand the NA-22 ticket and now, in order to pacify him, has promised him a Senate ticket.
Mohmand joined the PTI in April this year from the PML-N.
Imran met him on Tuesday and asked him to stay with the party. The coming elections are going to change the country and we need the vote of the Mohmand people, he told him. APP/AFP
