Balochistan government inks MOU of 500 MW power plants

QUETTA: (APP) Balochistan government and Atlantes Groups inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish power plants in Balochistan to generate 500 MW electricity to cater need of electricity in the province.
The representatives of the Balochistan government and Atlantes Group put their signature on MOU. The Atlantes Group will use renewable technology to generate electricity in Balochistan.
The ceremony held in connection with MOU, here Wednesday was also attended by Chief Minister Balochistan, Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Saifullah Chathha, Vice Chairman, Balochistan Board of Investment, Khawaja Hamayun Nizami and other officials.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said: "There is a large scope of investment in different sectors in Balochistan."
He said his government would provide security and all available facilities to investors who would invest in the province.
Under the MoU, the Balochistan government would provide its help in getting NOC from the federal government for establishing power plants in the province. The investor will have to complete the project within one year stipulated time.
