Resilient Kashmiris respond to the martyrdom of two youth at hands of Indian Army

SRINAGAR - In Occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown marked by strict restrictions is being observed on Sunday against the killing of two civilians and injuries to many by Indian troops in Shopian district.

Call for the strike has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik.

All shops and business establishments are closed in Srinagar, Shopian and other parts of the territory while public transport is off the road.

Meanwhile, the authorities have imposed restrictions especially in Nowhatta, Khanyar, Rainawari, Kralkhud, Maisuma, Maharaj Gunj and Safakadal areas of Srinagar to prevent anti-India protests.

The authorities also blocked the internet service across the district after the killings.
