Batting first, Karachi Kings set a victory target of 169 runs.
Islamabad United chased the target in 19.2 overs at the loss of five wickets with Asif Ali as man of the match for scoring 70 runs on 38 balls.
In another match of the league, Lahore Qalandars beat Quetta Gladiators by 8 wickets in Dubai.
