DUBAI: Pakistan's ace all rounder and pride of Pakistan cricket Shahid Afridi has spoken about the issue of holding PSL final in Lahore.
Former Pakistan captain and all-rounder Shahid Afridi said on Monday that bringing Pakistan Super League`s final to Lahore is a well thought out decision of the Pakistan Cricket Board and Punjab government.
Speaking to the media in Dubai, Afridi said: “As a player and ambassador of Pakistan, I will back the decision and support it,” further adding that media should also take responsibility and should not magnify petty issues because we all should be concerned about the prestige of our country.
He refrained from commenting on the statement of former Pakistan great Imran Khan —who has opposed the hosting of PSL final in Lahore —and said, “Imran bhai has his own opinions, I can’t say anything on it.
But as far as I am concerned I support and fully back the decision. I would like to play PSL`s final at PCB`s headquarter.
