Over 14,730 government employees were taking BISP undeserving support programme

ISLAMABAD - Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Social Protection and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Sania Nishtar says details of the government employees identified as undeserving beneficiaries of Benazir Income Support programme, will be sent to their relevant departments for legal action.
In an interview with APP, she said 14,730 government employees out of total 820,165 undeserving beneficiaries of Benazir Income Support programme were identified in a recent move to make this programme more transparent.
The Special Assistant said necessary action will also be taken against all other undeserving beneficiaries of the programme.
She said the exit of undeserving beneficiaries from BISP will pave the way for the most deserving to be included.
