Kurram Agency tribesmen asked to surrender heavy weapons

PARACHINAR (APP): The security forces Tuesday gave 45 days to tribal people in Kurram Agency to voluntarily surrender their heavy weapons to political administration of the agency and warned of strict actions against violators of order as well.

According to Political Ageny Kurram Agency, the ultimatum was given by Brigade Commander Brigadier Malak Amir Muhammad Khan at a Jirga of all the tribes of Kurram Agency held at Governor's Cottage Parachinar, headquarters of Kurram Agency.

He said all the tribal areas had been cleansed of the terrorists adding compliance of laws was the collective responsibility of every citizen.

Brigadier Amir said tribal people should voluntarily hand over all heavy weapons to the government in 45 days deadline.

He said maintaining of law and order was the responsibility of the government adding terrorists would not be allowed to disturb peace of the area.
