Pakistan-Royal Navies conduct joint exercises August 28, 2020

ISLAMABAD-Pakistan Navy and Royal Navy UK conducted joint exercises in the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Aden.

According to the Spokesperson of Pakistan Navy, PNS Zulfiqar, Saif, and Dehshat of Pakistan Navy and HMS Argyll frigate of Royal British Navy participated in the exercises.

He said JF-17 Thunder and maritime patrol aircraft of Pakistan Navy also participated in the exercises, during which various naval tactics were demonstrated. 

The Spokesperson said the main objective of naval exercises between Pakistan Navy and the Royal Navy was to further enhance collaboration through mutual exchange of experience and improve interoperability between the two navies.

The exercises covered a range of naval operations encompassing anti-surface and anti-air warfare, maneuvering and communication exercises to provide optimum training. 

These exercises are a testimony of PN’s resolve to contribute towards regional peace and stability.

The exercises will further strengthen bilateral cooperation and ties between the navies of Pakistan and United Kingdom.
