Pakistan strongly responds over Afghan government claims of cross border fire by Pakistan Military
ISLAMABAD - Foreign Office Spokesperson, Dr. Mohammad Faisal has said that Pakistan retaliates to cross-border attacks from Afghanistan only in Defense and Pakistan has a policy of not firing on Pak-Afghan border.
Talking about the recent cross-border firing incidents at Afghan border, Dr. Faisal said that regrettably Afghan government is distorting facts.
He further stated that cross-border attacks on Army and FC personnel by terrorists are only answered in defense.
The spokesperson said that Pakistan has formally informed Afghanistan of the location of terrorist camps in the border region.
“We have repeatedly requested (Afghanistan) to deploy its forces in these areas and bring them under its effective control,” he added.
