Mehwish Hayat named among top 5 Muslim women of the World

ISLAMABAD - Mehwish Hayat adds another accolade in her cap as she is named among the proactive Muslim women globally striving to make the world a better place. Hayat has spread her wings to support various social causes such as supporting women hockey in Pakistan, voicing for the just representation of Pakistan internationally, she is seeking to provide quality education to impoverished children in the rural areas in collaboration with international humanitarian organizations.

Mehwish Hayat, a recipient of Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, took to Twitter to share the news with her followers.

The ecstatic Mehwish Hayat expressed her gratitude for sharing the list with other females, from whom she derives her inspiration.

Hayat shares the list with four other women including Manal Rostom, an athlete, clinical pharmacist, fitness influencer and the founder of Surviving Hijab; Ilhan Omar, the first Muslim woman of black descent to be elected as a member of US House of Representatives. Linda Sarsour, who was also named in Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people list in 2017 and hails from Palestine and athlete Ibtihaj Mohammad.
