Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed the hope that Iranian oil exports would continue despite Washington’s efforts to stop them.
Putin, who is in Beijing to attend an investment conference, said we have not received any information from our Saudi partners or any OPEC members, indicating they are ready to quit the agreements.
He said he had no idea how the world energy market is going to react to the toughening of sanctions against Iran.
Earlier, Washington has demanded that buyers of Iranian crude halt purchases by Wednesday or face sanctions.
