Khalilzad, Ghani for Intra-Afghan dialogue to end civil war

The United States and Afghanistan have stressed the need for intra-Afghan dialogue to end civil war.
At a meeting in Kabul,US envoy Zalmay Khalilzad briefed the Afghan President Ashraf Ghani about his meetings and future plans for Afghan peace.
He said US President Donald Trump is eager to reach a solution to end the Afghan war.
Before Khalilzad embarked on his tour, the State Department said that in Doha, he will press forward on negotiations with the Taliban to reach a consensus on core national security issues, and urge their participation in an inclusive intra-Afghan dialogue.
