Pakistan foreign minister hold talks with British counterpart in New York

NEW YORK - Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi held talks with his British counterpart Jeremy Hunt on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session in New York.

During the meeting, both sides stressed enhanced cooperation between two countries in diverse areas such as trade, investment, education and development. Shah Mahmood Qureshi briefed the British Foreign Secretary on relations with Afghanistan and grave human rights violations being committed by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir.

He said Pakistan will continue to support the structured bilateral engagement plan through five working groups of Afghanistan Pakistan Action Plan for Peace and Solidarity to address all matters of mutual interest.

The British Foreign Secretary extended invitation to Shah Mahmood Qureshi to visit UK.
