High level Saudi delegation arrives in Pakistan, holds important meeting with Finance Minister
ISLAMABAD - A high level Saudi delegation has arrived in Pakistan for enhancing bilateral ties between two brotherly states.
A six-member Saudi delegation called on the Finance Minister Asad Umar here on Thursday and discussed issues of bilateral interests.
The Saudi delegation was led by Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) Chairman and Adviser to the Crown Prince, Ahmad Agil Al-Khateeb, Saudi Arabia Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf Saeed Al-Malki was also present during the meeting.
Asad Umar, while talking to the members of the delegation, discussed the matters relating to the strengthening of economic ties between the two countries. The on-going and pipeline projects of Saudi Fund for development also came under discussion with the view to accelerate the pace of their implementation.
Finance Minister appreciated the role of the Saudi Development Fund as a development partner of the government of Pakistan. The two sides also signed three Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) for grant projects in Kashmir and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), for the health and education sectors.
