IOK becomes potential nuclear flash point between India and Pakistan: FO spokesman

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office spokesman Dr Faisal Khan said that Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) has become a potential nuclear flash point between India and Pakistan.

Speaking in a seminar organized by Kashmir Institute of International Relations (KIIR), he said all roads to peace and prosperity in South Asia goes through Kashmir. He said recently issued United National Human Right violation report on Kashmir could be best described as the moral and political failure of India in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Dr Faisal Khan said the massive human rights violations and implementation of draconian law, the use of pellet guns and persistent atrocities are so savage that the United Nations was unable to ignore it. “We will continue efforts to pressurize implementation of United Nations resolution for ensuring free and fair plebiscite in IOK,“ he said.

The Indian authorities recently attacked Amnesty International office situated at Bilgalore, India on releasing reports on Kashmir. “We should redeem our pledge towards Kashmir with action other than words,” he added.
