In worst act of state terrorism, Indian Military troops martyred 3 Kashmiri youth in fake encounters

SRINAGAR - In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred three youth in Pulwama district today.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the troops martyred the youth during a cordon and search operation in Drabgam area of the district.

Several people were injured when Indian troops used brute force and fired bullets and pellets on mourners in different areas of Pulwama.

The killings triggered massive anti-India protests across the district.

Indian police arrested five youth in Sopore town.

Meanwhile, Indian troops continued their cordon and search operations in Drabgam Pachaa in Pulwama and Kagas Gund and Dooru in Islamabad districts.

Indian troops during continued violent crackdown operations used drone and motor boats in Soura area of Srinagar city.

On the other hand, the Indian Army has received 240 Spike anti-tank guided missiles and their 12 launchers from Israel on fast-track mode to meet emergency requirements especially along the LoC.

Meanwhile, on 114th day an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty continue to grip the territory particularly the Kashmir Valley and parts of Jammu region.

Uneasy calm is prevailing in the Valley as businesses remain largely shut, schools and offices wear a deserted look. Prepaid phone and SMS services remain snapped.

Same is the case with internet, both mobile and broadband.

On the conclusion of his 4-day visit to Kashmir, former BJP leader Yashwant Sinha speaking to reporters in Srinagar said that the situation in the Valley after the abrogation of Art 370 is not normal and that an atmosphere of fear is prevailing there.

He also warned that the situation will deteriorate further if New Delhi doesn’t change its behaviour toward Kashmir.

The Jammu and Kashmir Pir Panjal Freedom Movement has called for resolution of the Kashmir dispute through talks.

JKPPFM Chairman Advocate Qazi Irshad in a statement issued after a party meeting in Jammu said that the participants called for an end to the ongoing military lockdown and ban on telephone and internet in Jammu and Kashmir.

The party appealed to the international community to put pressure on India to stop the Indian atrocities in the territory and give the people the right to live with dignity.

Qazi Irshad said that for the sake of converting the Muslim majority Jammu and Kashmir into a minority, India abrogated Articles 370 and 35A to pave the way for settlement of non-locals in the territory.

He called upon the United Nations to prevent India from doing it and warned that the Indian move would have dire consequences.

APHC-AJK leader, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, has said that around one million Indian troops are involved in massacre of people in occupied Kashmir in a bid to suppress their right to self-determination.

He said this while addressing Kashmir conference organized at the headquarters of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation in Jeddah.

He said that India has been continuing with its policy of military siege and lockdown in occupied Kashmir for around four months, transforming Kashmir into a prison where every Kashmiri has been kept in captivity.

He said Kashmir is an internationally recognized dispute and India is violating international law by committing military aggression in the territory.

Speaking at the conference, APHC AJK leader, Syed Abdullah Gilani, briefed the participants about the current situation in Kashmir.

APHC-AJK leader and Vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement, Abdul Majeed Malik has said the situation is getting worse in occupied Kashmir with every passing day as strict restrictions remain in force under Section 144 in the territory.

In a statement issued in Islamabad he said, the occupation authorities are threatening the freedom organisations that if anyone tries to raise his voice against the Indian government, he will have to go to Indian jails.

He said India, which claims to be the largest democratic country in the world, is flouting all democratic norms and values in occupied Kashmir.
