Taliban demand release of prisoners for peace talks with Afghan govt

Taliban have demanded release of their prisoners for peace talks with the Afghan government.
Speaking at a two-day meeting of the provincial peace committees, Chairman High Peace Council Muhammad Karim Khalili said they received a letter from Taliban about their stance on peace talks with the council.
This comes as the Afghan government is yet to officially announce the formation of a negotiating team for peace talks with the Taliban.
