ISLAMABAD - Russian climbers are set to arrive in Pakistan in order to scale Nanga Parbat and K2, a local media outlet *reported link *on Sunday.

Three expeditions are expected to attempt to conquer the two peaks.

K2 is the only 8000 metre peak in the world that has not been scaled in winters.

Most attempts to climb the peak usually fail in winters due to poor weather or loss of a team member.
