Blocking unregistered mobile phones in Pakistan: Federal government takes the final decision

ISLAMABAD - PTI government has taken the final decision over the unregistered mobile phones in Pakistan.
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on Tuesday decided to block all unregistered mobile by December 1 that are not PTA verified.
According to details, after December 1, only PTA verified and registered mobile phone will work in Pakistan.
Sources further added that as per the instructions issued by the PTA, unverified mobile phone can be registered by sending IEMI number to 8484.
On the other hand, the mobile phones have been taken from abroad will also be used after registration and in this regard for facilitation of overseas and foreigners PTA has arranged registration cell at airports.
