Pakistan Army foils major terror bid in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI  – Pakistan Army soldiers and bomb disposal squad foil a major terrorist attack in Rawalpindi by recovering suicide jackets containing explosives at an important road of the garrison city.

According to details, three explosive jackets were found in a shopping bag at Sadar area along the Mall Road. Sources told that law enforcement teams arrived at the location just in time.

While two of the suicide jackets in shopping bag exploded, one jacket was made ineffective by the bomb disposal squad. No casualties were reported in the successful rescue operation.

The incident spread terror amongst the residents of Rawalpindi. Security forces have issued high alert in the city and contingents are deployed at the sensitive points.
