SC starts hearing cases through E-Court system

Supreme Court of Pakistan has started hearing cases through E-Court system.

A three member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Asif Saeed Khosa is hearing cases in Islamabad today through application of latest video link connectivity.

Utilizing the system, lawyers presented their arguments from Supreme Court's Karachi registry through video link.

Initially, the e-court system will be available in apex court's Islamabad and Karachi registry.

In his remarks on the occasion, the Chief Justice described the E-court system as an important step saying it will help ensure inexpensive and speedy justice to the people.

The Chief Justice also appreciated the services of NADRA for developing this system for the Supreme Court.
