US warns Syria of 'firm' measures for ceasefire violations

The United States has warned the Syrian regime of a firm action if it violates a ceasefire deal, after Syrian aircraft dropped leaflets on Daraa province ahead of an expected offensive.
In a statement, the State Department expressed concern over the reports, saying the area in question is within the boundaries of a de-escalation zone the US has negotiated with Russia and Jordan last year.
The statement said as a guarantor of this de-escalation area with Russia and Jordan, the United States will take firm and appropriate measures in response to Assad regime's violations.
