Orientation session held for teachers of KP govt colleges

ISLAMABAD:The Higher Education Commission, in collaboration with the Higher Education Academy of Research and Training Peshawar, organized an orientation session for teachers of government colleges of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Eighty teachers from all over the province participated in the training.

Addressing the session, HEC Consultant, Dr. Mehmood-ul-Hassan Butt said that the Commission offers research opportunities to colleges in different programs including access to digital library, research journals and connectivity through Pakistan Education and Research Network.

He said HEC initiatives are envisioned to pave the way for knowledge-based economy and technology-embedded higher education sector.

Dr. Mehmood-ul-Hassan Butt said colleges must play their role in improvement of curricula, access to new tools and modern teaching methodologies. APP/AFP
