ZIARAT: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam – Fazl candidate emerged victorious in PB-7 Ziarat by-election, according to unconfirmed and unverified results.
Khalil-ur-Rehman Domar of JUI-F emerged victorious in the election after securing 13,211 votes while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Noor Mohammad Domar stood at second place with 11,441 votes.
Sardar Habib-ur-Rehman of Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) secured 8,343 votes in the bye-election.
It should be noted that the seat fell vacant after the demise of Gul Mohammad Domar of JUI-F. His son, Khalil, has emerged victorious in the elections.
Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had set up 59 polling stations for the polls.
Strict security measures were taken to make sure no untoward incident takes place during the polling process, which concluded at 05.00 pm.
