Gulshan Iqbal Park Lahore Blast Death toll crosses 50 with 150 injured

LAHORE: Deaths have crossed 70 with 300 injured in Gulshan Iqbal Park Lahore blast. According to latest reports, 2 injured of blast have also breathed their last in Jinnah Hospital while more than 300 injured are being treated in different hospitals of Lahore.
As per details, the suicide attacker blew himself up near the playing area, gate no. 1 of Gulshan Iqbal Park. A lot of people including women and children were present there to enjoy the weekend.
Police and rescue teams rushed to the scene after receiving information and cordoned off area. Rescue teams started to shift dead bodies and injured to nearby hospitals. Pak Army contingent also reached at the spot and took part in rescue operation.
Different parts of bodies including hands, feet and legs were shattered on the ground after blast while spots of blood could be seen everywhere in Gulshan Iqbal Park. People were crying for help while frantic relatives searched for loved ones.
Rescue teams shifted dead bodies and injured to Shiekh Zaid, Farooq and Jinnah hospitals while emergency was declared in all the hospitals of Lahore by government.
100 injured were shifted to Jinnah Hospital and 42 injured shifted to Shiekh Zaid hospitals. LEAs reached at the spot and started to collect evidences from crime scene.
Talking to media, DIG Operations Dr. Haider Ashraf confirmed that it was suicide blast while attacker blew himself up at gate no. 1. Bomb Disposal Squad stated that 5 to 8 kg explosive material and barring ball had been used in Lahore blast.
According to initial investigation, police have seized ID card and head of alleged terrorist from the spot. SSP investigation added that the alleged terrorist has been identified as Yousaf as per ID card and he was resident of Muzaffar Garh. Police have detained his alleged relatives and started investigation.
