1,372 artists get Rs. 20,000 each

ISLAMABAD-Executive Director Lahore Arts Saman Rai said that Punjab government's Artist Support Fund program is running successfully.
In a statement, she said that government is providing full financial support to artists across Punjab in the view of Covid-19.
She said that the strategy of Secretary Information and Culture Raja Jahangir Anwar for distributing the funds has proved skillful. She said that through the newly adopted method, artists could get help from any branch of Punjab Bank under the bio-frog system. For which the services of Punjab Social Protection Authority (PSPA) have been procured.
She said due of Covid-19, 20000 rupees for each has been released to 1372 artists across the province and this process is being completed expeditiously.
She said, this program would continue on a large scale in future as well to support the artist community.
