Locals Plea to rebuild shrines in South Waziristan

ISLAMABAD: (APP) As the process of reconstruction of damaged houses and properties is under way in South Waziristan (SW), the local residents have called for rebuilding Sufis' shrines that were damaged during the chaos in the agency.
Local people were of the view that besides hundreds of public and private properties destroyed, there were around 80 small and big shrines that were either fully or partially damaged, reported a private news channel on Saturday.
They said since government has started distribution of compensation amount among the owners of damaged houses and properties, it should also pay attention to the reconstruction of the shrines damaged due to terrorism.
