LAHORE – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has brushed aside all the conspiracy theories spread by his opponents linking his movement with Pakistan Army.
He has said on Thursday that he never wished to gain power through conspiracy with army, adding that he supports democracy in the country.
In an interview with BBC Urdu, he said the allegations against him are false, stressing that he cannot go back in fear of martial law. He mentioned several politicians brought into power by military dictators including Nawaz Sharif and Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
He mentioned that he has struggled for 21 years and cannot let it all go in the fear of martial law. PTI has the largest street power and can spread anarchy, but it never did so, Imran Khan claimed.
