Theme park to be established in Lahore

LAHORE: (APP) Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Chairman Siddique ul Farooq on Monday said the ETPB would write a letter to the federal government for establishment of theme park on ETPB's land near Raiwind for public.

Briefing the mediamen after 309th meeting of Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) in Camp office here, he said the meeting had taken notice of delay in Nankana Town planning.

The chairman said, the meeting discussed various matters including town planning of Nankana Sahib, establishment of a university in Nankana Sahib and payments related matters to acquire land for university.

The meeting also gave approval for the development of 17 kanals land of ETPB in Multan.

He said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had inaugurated the water filtration plant on January 11 in Kataas Raj and ambassadors of 14 countries visited there and appreciated the efforts of the government.

The ambassadors of England, European Union and UNESCO also visited Nankana Sahib to review the arrangements.

He said that they were putting efforts to sort out all issues of ETPB, adding that the department would implement its rules and regulations in all affairs.

To a question, he said that there was a remarkable increase in the board's revenue due to effective and efficient policies of the ETPB.
