Why Governor Punjab oath taking ceremony has been delayed?

LAHORE – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Chaudhry Sarwar oath taking ceremony for Governor Punjab slot has been delayed.

He has said that he will take oath as the Punjab’s governor after the presidential election on September 4.

Punjab governor-in-waiting said that every vote is precious even a single vote to make the president of Pakistan, saying that he will resign from Senate after the presidential election. He will take oath after casting vote to PTI’s candidate for president Arif Alvi on September 4.

“I have the honour of being a member of the Senate of Pakistan. I wish to fulfil my duty as a Senator & help elect Dr Arif Alvi as the President of Pakistan on Sept 4th. I will inshahallah take my oath as Governor of Punjab after that! #NayaPakistan,” he said in his tweet.
