Supreme Court rejects Sharif family's lawyer appeal

ISLAMABAD – The Supreme Court has rejected Sharif family lawyer appeal of extending the Accountability Court cases deadline till December 15.

SX extended the period of accountability court Islamabad by six weeks to conclude Flagship investment and Al-Azizya Steel Mills references against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his family members.

A three member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar heard the petition on Monday seeking extension in time of accountability court to conclude the two references.

Nawaz Sharif’s consul Khawaja Harris seeks extension to the duration of cases till December 15.

However, the court rejected his appeal and ordered to conclude the cases in six weeks.
