FAISALABAD (APP): Director General, Trade Policy, Ministry of Commerce, Mrs. Raheela Tajwar here on Friday said that trade policy would be in conformity with recommendations and proposals of private sector in order to achieve the export targets within stipulated time frame.

She was addressing an awareness session on "Post Strategic Trade Policy Framework 2015-18" organized here Friday.

Senior Vice President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) Syed Zia Alamdar Hussain and Mohammad Owais Khan Regional Trade and Policy Advisor USAID also spoke on the occasion.

Mrs. Raheela Tajwar said that government had been regularly formulating trade policy every year till 2009. However, on the recommendations of business community, three-year trade policy was introduced and this is a third policy in a row.

She said that government was fully aware of the importance of private sector. Hence it was involved in policy making and in this connection SME sector is encouraged to diversify its products line.

FCCI Senior Vice President Syed Zia Alamdar and Mohammad Owais Khan Regional Trade and Policy Advisor USAID also spoke on the occasion.
