Pakistan government significantly enhances the coronavirus testing labs and testing capacity across the country

ISLAMABAD - Chairman National Disaster Management Authority Lieutenant General Muhammad Afzal says the government is utilizing all available resources to provide personal protection equipment to the doctors, nurses and paramedics who are fighting as frontline workers against Corona pandemic.
Addressing a media briefing in Islamabad on Monday, he said the authority along with National Institute of Health is working collectively to increase the existing number of coronavirus testing labs in the country to enhance the testing capacity.
The Chairman said with continuous efforts, testing capacity for Coronavirus has been increased and now almost seven thousand tests are being conducted on daily basis.
He said some local and private companies have started making PPEs which is good omen for country's economy.
He said now N-95 masks are also being prepared in the country and different local companies will start their distribution of 20 to 50 thousand masks per day from tomorrow.
