Khawaja brothers land in big trouble

LAHORE - Director General (DG) National Accountability Bureau (NAB) presiding over the regional boards meeting on Friday approved filing of reference in Paragon Housing scandal.

NAB sources reveal, that Qaiser Ameen Butt and Nadeem Zia established a company named Air Avenue in 2003 which was later on changed to Paragon City private (Pvt.) limited (Ltd).

According to sources, both the accused operated the company as directors whilst Paragon Society is yet to be approved by Lahore Development Authority (LDA).

It is pertinent to mention, that Khawaja Saad and Salman Rafique both acquired 20 plots of size 2 kanal each in land and Rs 5.80 m, Rs 3.90 m in cash were transferred in their name, the accused also received Rs 20 m from the official account of Paragon City.

The final approval for filing the reference against Khawaja brothers and Nadeem Zia will be at the behest of Chief of NAB.
