ISLAMABAD - All rounder Shadab Khan is most likely to recover completely in two weeks, and will be available for the World Cup 2019 selection, said Dr. Patrick Kennedy.
The latest update from the Doctor today, which suggested that the young leggie has been put on medication and advised complete rest for two weeks.
The leg-spinner will undergo another round of blood tests in Lahore which will show if he’s ready for the World Cup 2019.
Earlier this week, the talented all-rounder was diagnosed with Hepatitis C Virus in a routine blood test. His name from the final-15 for the England series was withdrawn after this discovery.
Subsequently, PCB sent him to England where his appointment was set with Dr. Patrick for Friday.
“Shadab Khan has been ruled out of the series against England after tests revealed a virus that will require treatment and rest for, at least, four weeks,” the chief selector, Inzamam Ul Haq had announced on Sunday.
