SC ordered sugar mill owners to pay dues of farmers within five weeks

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has ordered sugar mill owners of Punjab and thirty four out of thirty eight sugar mills of Sindh to pay within five weeks the pending dues of sugarcane farmers.
A three judge bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Saqib Nisar in Islamabad today heard the case regarding nonpayment of sugarcane price to farmers.
The Court had summoned the mill owners on Tuesday to appear in person. APP/AFP
