JAMRUD: Pakistan Air Force has carried out air strikes against the terrorist hideouts on the Pakistan Afghanistan border.
At least six suspected militants were killed and as many were injured when jets pounded hideouts in Tirah valley of Khyber Agency on Wednesday.
Security sources said that warplanes destroyed at least two hideouts of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
One of the hideouts – located in the Rajgal area of Tirah right on the border with Afghanistan – was used by terrorists as an ammunition dump, they revealed.
Rajgal and its surrounding areas were considered to be a stronghold of militants. However, successive military operations have decreased their influence.
