Federal Cabinet approves resolution of confidence on PM Nawaz

ISLAMABAD: Federal Cabinet has approved a resolution of confidence on PM Nawaz here at today during cabinet meeting and welcomed PM decision to offer himself for accountability over Panama leaks issue.
As per details, Federal Cabinet meeting was held here at today under the chairmanship of PM Nawaz to discuss about the budget affairs. Finance minister Ishaq Dar briefed the meeting over the ongoing developmental projects and measures taken by government to end the energy crisis while matters related to preparation of budget of next fiscal year also came under discussion in the meeting.
The meeting was told by Dar that Rs. 3600 billion tax target would be set for next fiscal year while new taxes worth Rs. 100 billion would be imposed removing tax relaxations.
Inflation rate and finance deficit would be maintained at 5% and 4.3% respectively while economic growth rate has been suggested by Dar to be maintained at 5%.
Chinese Council has approved 4.5 billion dollar for Pakistan Dar said, stating that this amount would be spent on construction of motorway from Sukkur to Multan and Havalyan Motor Way.
While addressing the meeting, PM said that government is trying to address the challenges faced by the country and we are establishing a new standard of transparency in projects.
Previous governments had foiled to bring investment in energy sector since 1999 but now 34 billion dollar investment is being made in power projects.
Few political opponents are trying to create hurdles in economic growth because they know that they would have to face disappointment in case of completion of our projects before 2018.
