The most recent Apple iPhone 15 series, featuring the new second-generation Ultra Wideband chip, enables communication with other devices equipped with the same chip at distances of up to 60 meters.
Apple, the American multinational technology company, has recently launched the iPhone 15 series, incorporating the "Find My" feature, which empowers users to locate nearby friends possessing the same device.
Teknófilo, a prominent Spanish blog specializing in news, rumors, and analysis of smartphones, tablets, and other technological gadgets, conducted a hands-on demo to test this feature.
The demo showcases an iPhone 15 connected to another phone positioned approximately 60 meters away, demonstrating the operational range at which Precision Finding functions effectively with AirTags.
It's worth noting that this test was conducted in an open outdoor space, and the effective range may be limited indoors due to obstacles and potential interference from walls.
The video serves to validate Apple's assertion that the chip integrated into the iPhone 15 series offers a range approximately three times that of the U1 chip.
While AirTag's Precision Finding has a maximum range of 10-15 meters, the Find My feature on the latest iPhone indeed extends to approximately three times that distance.
