NEPRA increases price of electricity under monthly adjustment formula

ISLAMABAD – The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has again raised the prices of the electricity for the month of August.

NEPRA on Wednesday approved Rs.1.16 per unit in power tariff under monthly fuel adjustment formula.

The Central Power Purchase Agency Guarantee Limited (CPPA-G) had sought Rs 1.50 increase in electricity prices under fuel adjustment for August but the NEPRA approved Rs1.16 hike.

The new prince will be applicable to all power distribution companies except for K-Electric.

On Tuesday, the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) had postponed an increase in the prince of the electricity till its next meeting.
