ISLAMABAD - PTI Spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry while responding to the Nawaz Sharif press conference today has said that Nawaz Sharif should not behave like a widow of the Star Plus TV.
Referring to Supreme Court's verdict in which Nawaz Sharif was disqualified as country's prime minister, he said that the Nawaz keeps asking why was he was disqualified.
Nawaz Sharif failed to prove his innocence during the 134-day hearing of the SC and additional 60-day probe of the Joint Investigation Team, which was formed to probe former PM's assets, added Chaudhry.
On Nawaz's appearance before the accountability court on Tuesday, Chaudhry said that government spent millions of rupees for a five-minute appearance of the former premier.
He further said that Nawaz Sharif reached the accountability court surrounded by an escort of 45 cars.
Fawad also claimed that Nawaz has not returned to the country for accountability but to save his seat. “How can we expect these people to bring about change?”
Chaudhry also claimed that PML-N leaders are employing delaying tactics to escape punishment. Chaudhry said: "Sometimes Nawaz Sharif is not the country, sometimes his children are not. These are ways to waste the court's time."
He also demanded that SC should look into the behaviour and speeches of PML-N leaders and take an action against it.
