LAHORE: (APP) Justice Shahid Hameed Dar on Monday took oath as Acting Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court (LHC) in a ceremony started with recitation from the Holy Qur'an.
Senior Judge Justice Muhammad Yawar Ali administered oath in a ceremony held at the premises of the High Court.

Judges of the Lahore High Court, Federal and Provincial Law Officers, senior lawyers and office bearers of the Lahore High Court Bar Association and Lahore Bar Association attended the ceremony.

After the oath ceremony, as per tradition, guard of honour was presented to Acting Chief Justice by a smartly dressed police contingent.
