Exim Bank of China releases instalment for Orange Line Train

LAHORE: (APP) Punjab government Spokesman said here on Monday that EXIM Bank of China has released another installment of Rs 3.630 billion for Lahore Orange Line Metro Train Project.

He said that regular release of funds for this project is a proof of the confidence of Chinese government and financial institutions in Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif's sincere leadership, development policies and good governance.

The EXIM Bank of China has so far provided 44 crore dollars in four installments for the project of which almost half of construction work has been completed despite all problems and hurdles.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court of Pakistan has accepted the appeal of Punjab government against the decision of Lahore High Court in Orange Line case which is encouraging with regard to implementation of this project for the provision of modern transport facilities to the masses.
