Breakthrough development reported in Government - Opposition talks

ISLAMABAD - The government’s negotiation committee on Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl’s (JUI-F) Azadi March once again restored talks with Rehbar Committee of opposition to discuss the protest.

As per details, Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak, head of government’s committee, held a telephonic conversation with head of opposition’s Rehbar Committee Akram Durrani.

Pervaiz Khattak told Durrani that government will not object to the March if opposition backtracks from holding protest at Red Zone. Khattak said opposition can hold rally anywhere outside Red Zone.

Sources said opposition is thinking to hold rally at Kashmir Highway instead of China Ckowk.

Sources further said the final decision in this regard would be taken by Rehbar Committee.
