Pakistani agencies break terror financing network working across borders

KARACHI – Pakistani agencies have broken a terror financing network working in Pakistan and Afghanistan on the tip of arrested terrorists in Karachi.

Terrorists have confessed to using hundi and hawala mechanism to transfer money to Afghanistan for terror financing.

Several terrorists facilitators were arrested in subsequent raids.

Three kidnappers belonging to a banned outfit were arrested by Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) in Karachi. They have revealed before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) that money was transferred to Haji Khan Kandhari through hawala and hundi.

The JIT was also informed that Haji Khan’s network is working in Karachi and Quetta. Terrorist Naimat told the JIT that 50 different bank accounts were used for transfer of money to Afghanistan.
