Country can’t progress without strong democracy: NA Speaker

Speaker National Assembly, Asad Qaiser has called for reforms within the political parties to strengthen democracy.
Talking to a private news channel, he said the country cannot progress without a strong democracy.
To a question, Asad Qaiser said the Parliament should also hold debate on Charter of Economy.
He said there will be no compromise on accountability as the government will discourage discrimination or political trial of any political figure.
The Speaker said National Accountability Bureau is an independent institution and government has no influence on it.
