Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani held one on one meeting on the sidelines of Global Sustainable Transport Conference in Ashgabat on Saturday.

Bilateral relations between the two countries and regional issues came up in the meeting.
The two-day Global Sustainable Transport Conference begins in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan on Saturday to highlight the fundamental role of sustainable transport in fighting climate change.
The conference will discuss role of integrated and sustainable transport including rail, aviation, ferry and maritime in supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals.

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is representing Pakistan at the conference.
Pakistan is keen to improve connectivity with Central Asian States by establishing transport and communication links.
These links will be conducive to tapping the potential of trade, economic interaction, people-to-people contacts and tourism.
Earlier, Prime Minister Muhammad talking to newsmen at breakfast, Nawaz Sharif said one political party is doing politics to take the country backward instead of taking forward.
Prime Minister regretted that some political parties are doing politics of 1990s.
